Waves4Life is a certified mobile kitesurf school based near Lisbon, Portugal. Instead of teaching from a single beach, we choose the best location for every lesson based on the wind, tides and your experience level. Throughout the year we teach mainly at Praia da Bela Vista and Lagoa de Albufeira, while also using other locations whenever conditions allow.
This flexible approach gives you safer conditions, better learning sessions and more time on the water. Whether it’s your first kitesurf lesson or you’re looking to improve your riding, you’ll always learn where the conditions are best on the day.

With Lisbon’s international airport and regular connections across Europe, reaching the coast is simple, making it easy to combine time on the water with everything the Lisbon region has to offer.
Waves4Life is a certified mobile kitesurf school near Lisbon, Portugal. Rather than operating from a single location throughout the year, we select the most suitable teaching spot according to the wind, tides, sea conditions and each student’s level.
During the summer season, our main base is at Praia da Bela Vista, on the Costa da Caparica coastline, around 20 minutes from central Lisbon. The beach offers a large open teaching area, nearby parking and access to A Casa da Praia, where you can enjoy food or a drink after your lesson. At our seasonal beach base, students also have access to shade.
Praia da Bela Vista provides plenty of space away from the busiest areas of the beach. During the summer, the local thermal wind often creates consistent afternoon conditions, making the Costa da Caparica area a popular destination for kitesurf lessons near Lisbon.
During the winter and whenever conditions are more suitable, we may teach at Lagoa de Albufeira or other carefully selected locations in the Lisbon region. Before every lesson, our instructors assess the wind, tides, waves and weather forecast to choose the safest and most productive conditions available.

What is the best way to reach us?
Praia da Bela Vista is located on the beautiful Costa da Caparica coastline, just 20–25 minutes from Lisbon, making it one of the most accessible kitesurf spots in the region.
By Car
Driving is the quickest and most convenient way to reach the beach. From central Lisbon, cross the 25 de Abril Bridge towards Almada and follow the signs to Costa da Caparica. Continue south along the coastal road until you reach Praia da Bela Vista.
The beach has a large parking area within a short walking distance of the water. During the summer months, we recommend arriving a little earlier, especially on weekends, as parking can fill up quickly.
By Public Transport
Praia da Bela Vista can also be reached using public transport from Lisbon.
Take a bus to Costa da Caparica from Lisbon (or from the Almada area), then continue with the seasonal beach shuttle service or a local taxi/rideshare to Praia da Bela Vista.
Another popular option is to take the ferry from Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas and then continue by bus or taxi to the beach.
